Hello World!

This website and server will be used to show off my journey in learning web development. My current experience as a developer includes game programming in C++ and C#, using Unity and Unreal Engine 4 and 5. I have had a lot of fun creating games, even just little side projects at home to explore different ideas that float in my mind. These little projects have helped me meet some amazing and talented people, some that I've forged strong and lifelong bonds with. Game development has been such an amazing experience, but I have always had an itch to do more. I've spent many hours in the last few years exploring different ways to apply myself and the programming experience I have.

Developing games is still a passion of mine, but this web server marks the start of a new learning journey. Web development is only the beginning. The long-term goal is to become a web penetration tester. To do that, I must first learn how websites work. What goes into making a website? What kind of systems are in place? What kind of flaws could be present? The best way to learn this is through personal experience, to first develop websites myself.

I am very excited to see where this journey takes me, to see how my skills develop over time. This website will be the proof of my progress. As I learn new skills, I will apply them here. This website will update with me. As I make strides in this journey, I will practice them here and write as a sort of development blog to look back on as proof of my progress. My, potentially ambitious, goals are these: In 6 months time, I will be employable as a web developer. In 18-24 months I will be able to apply the experience I've gained towards learning how to be a web penetration tester.
